Chris� Corner Shakespeare Theater returns with its seventh presentation of death-erotic scenes from the classic plays. In this modern-dress version of Shakespeare�s Roman/Egyptian passion play, Antony and Cleopatra have lost their war with Caesar. Antony is dead, having fallen on his own sword, and the scene is of Cleopatra�s last moments. She prepares to kill herself with a dagger that has been dipped in poison, which she calls �the asp�s fang�. Antony�s ghost comes to her, and they renew their love, having sex together and re-living the vows and passions they shared. Then Cleopatra takes the dagger and puts it to her own throat, ready to die. Antony�s ghost cuts her throat, welcoming her spirit as it joins his. With pride, dignity and the joy of becoming �fire and air�, Cleopatra bleeds out from her slashed throat and dies. The curtain descends on one of the greatest love stories in history.
